Why does the load output of my solar controller keep shutting down?
Applicable systems:
All RemotePro, UPSPro, and MobileSolarPro systems
There are a couple reasons why the load output on the controller will turn off.
1. If the
batteries get too low (11.1V for 12V battery, 22.2V for 24V battery, or 44.4V for
48V battery) the load output will turn off. This is to save the batteries
from over-discharge. The load output will turn back on when the batteries
get charged past a certain threshold (12.5V for 12V battery, 25V for 24V battery, or 50V for 48V battery). If the load does not automatically turn back on, please consult the user guide of your charge controller to turn it on manually.
2. Motors,
pumps, and inverters cannot be connected to the load output of the controller,
or it will overload and turn off. Instead connect motors, pumps and inverters
to the battery through a high current power relay. The relay will be connected
and controlled by the load output of the solar controller to maintain battery health.
